To our team in Herlev near Copenhagen, we are now looking for an Operational Permanent Control Officer, who will contribute to our future growth. The Operational Permanent Control Officer is responsible to organize the operational risk management and the permanent control framework on a risk based approach. Your reference in Arval DK will be the Head of Business Transformation, and the role may require occasional need to travel and stay away for a few days per year.

About the role:

  • Ensure that the group procedure requirements are implemented locally, complemented with local specificities (regulations, tools, organizations etc.)
  • Perform risk self-assessment (analysis of processes, risks and controls mapping, qualification of potential incidents), perform set up of corrective actions and formalize the control plan
  • Monitor and analyze historical incidents and related control plans (action plan and follow-up of the implementation)
  • Participation in the definition and implementation of permanent control plans
  • Provide analysis and reports based on the results of controls performed by the various controls and process owners operating and supporting the Business & Coverage Lines and countries
  • Execute ad-hoc one-off controls in identified or potential critical risk area through specific control assignments
  • Control and manage the company procedures library

Your skills:

  • Academic background in Audit or other related fields
  • Knowledge of Operational Risk or Permanent Control
  • Ability to work on Project Mode in a complex environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with others
  • Ability to bring about consensus and key decisions
  • Ability to inspire others and generate their commitment
  • Ability to anticipate business or strategic evolution

As a person you have a high degree of self-motivation, and you have a professional approach as well as the capability to convince and inspire other people. You are a team player and your communication skills are strong, both verbally and written. You have a commercial and entrepreneurial mindset with a great customer and service minded focus. You are also a problem-solver and can turn ideas into concrete solutions. Arval is an international business and a good level of written and spoken English is essential.
